The price of gas fluctuates, as does the currency exchange! 

Example:

The price of one litre of gas in Canada  =  $1.45 
One USD exchanged to CAD   =  $ 0.78 USD
One litre  = 0.264 172 US gallon
One US gallon = 3.785 litres

the price of one litre of gas in USD =  1.45 * 0.78 = $ 1.06
cost of one US gallon of gas in CAD = 1.45 * 3.785 =  $ 5.49
cost of one gallon of gas in USD = 5.49 * 0.78 =  $ 4.28
