Huber's Formula - Metric

Spike VM

Calculate the volume of a log in cubic meters using the Huber Formula. This calculator utilizes meters for the length and centimeters for the diameter of the log.

Note:
The Huber diameter is measured at the mid-section but can be calculated by adding the small end and large end diameters together and dividing this amount by 2.

Huber's Formula Calculator
diameter small end + diameter large end / 2 = DIB mid section

Huber Log Rule - Metres

Diameter Measured Inside Bark = DIB
Length of Log in Metres M
DIB Measured Mid Section cm

Results:

Log Volume in Cubic Metres
Volume in Cubic Feet ft³
Volume in Board Feet bf

Calculator

  1. enter the length of the log in metres
  2. diameter measured inside bark, mid-section in centimetres

Results

  1. the volume of the log in cubic metres
  2. the cubic metre volume converted to cubic feet
  3. the cubic metre volume converted to board feet

Conversions

one cubic metre (mm³) = 35.3146667214886 cubic feet (ftm³)
one cubic metre (mm³) = 423.776000657863 board feet (bf)
