Scribner Log Rule for Standing Trees
Approximate the board foot volume of a tree using the Scribner log rule.
Board foot value results are for Girard form class 78.
Instead of using "merchantable height" in 16-foot logs this calculator uses the merchantable height of the tree measured from a one-foot stump height to where main stem diameter equals a specified limit.

- enter the merchantable height of a tree in feet
- tree diameter measured at breast height in inches (breast height = 4.5 feet)
