Are you strapping the wall with 1 x 4's, Yes, or No?
There are three options for a wall to which you apply the Board and Batten Siding.
If the sheathing is 3/4" thick, you can nail the boards directly to the wall. If the sheathing is less than 3/4 inches thick, you can either strap the wall with 1 x 4's or install rows of solid blocking between the studs at the heights the boards are nailed.
If you select yes here, it will add the strapping material to the "Furring Board" lineal feet.
There are different ways of doing things, and it is possible to install the siding without using furring strips.
It is assumed that one by four's are used for the furring strips.
It will not add any materials required for furring-out around window and door openings.
If you enter a percentage amount for waste, then the lineal feet amount of the materials used for boards and battens is increased. There is no increase to the lineal feet amount of furring strips and trims
There is no allowance for trim materials that you may need around doors and windows.
