Round Concrete Steps Volume Calculator

   Spike

The Round Concrete Steps Volume Calculator (Imperial) is designed to calculate the concrete volume needed for round steps using imperial units. This calculator is ideal for construction projects that require precise concrete volume estimations for multi-step, round-stair structures. The calculator allows you to add multiple steps, with each new step increasing in size based on the dimensions of the previous step. Results include cubic feet and cubic yards for each step and the required total volume.

Calculator

  • enter the total length of the step in feet ( the distance from one side of the step to the other along the back edge)
  • the width of the step in feet (the depth of the step from the front edge toward the back)
  • enter the horizontal depth (or tread) of the step in inches (this value is used to calculate the incremental overhang of each new step you add)
  • enter the vertical height (rise) of the step in inches

Results

  • volume required for the step in cubic feet.
  • volume needed for the step in cubic yards.
  • Arc Length (ft): The step length along the curve in feet
  • Radius of Circle: the radius of the full circle from which the step's segment is part, measured in feet (the radius of the hypothetical complete circle that would include this segment)

Adding Additional Steps

  1. Once the current step has been calculated, click Add Next Step to create a new step with adjusted dimensions.
  2. The calculator automatically updates the length and width of the new step by adding the "run" value to the previous step's dimensions, creating a slight overhang.
  3. Repeat the process for each additional step, filling in any adjustments for Run and Rise values if they differ from the previous step.
  4. After each calculation, the calculator updates the Total Concrete Volume section.
  • the total concrete volume in cubic feet
  • the total concrete volume in cubic yards
  • the total concrete volume in cubic metres

Important Notes

* Editing Steps: You can modify the dimensions of the current (last) step before calculating. However, if you need to edit a previous step, click Start Over to reset the calculator and begin anew.
* Start Over Button: This button clears all steps and resets the form to its initial state, allowing you to start a new calculation.

This tool helps ensure accurate estimates of concrete volume for round, multi-step staircases, aiding in efficient material planning and cost estimation.
